Another nice American diner. Great service and location in Ferndale. Check it out on the way to Bellingham. Decent coffee too!

Perfect, no frills diner. Great food, quick service. This place is great. We had chicken fried steak and biscuits and gravy and both were absolutely delicious. My over medium eggs were a perfect over medium. I hope I’m in the area again just so I can stop by Al’s.

Omg!First off I need to say that I'm hard to please. I have high expectations so this was a real treat.a real HOME COOKED MEAL. they cooked our bacon perfect to our request. The hash browns, shredded and home style were made fresh. The biscuits were homemade and hot to the table. The butter was served in abundance and not refrigerated so it melted nicely. The table had lots of condiments to choose from. I have noise sensitivity and often wear earplugs but found the cafeteria style busy and still not too loud like most.The Service was Top Notch and timely!The restaurant is clean with great windows to bring the light in.I would definitely recommend this place.

First time trying Al’s Downtown Diner and it did not disappoint! Everything I tried was delicious! Biscuits and gravy were hot and fresh, Eggs Benedict with ham were perfectly made and I absolutely loved their hash browns! On top of good food the service was top notch! Very attentive and pleasant staff! This place has it all! Hidden gem in Ferndale!

This has become my favorite breakfast spot! We have tried other breakfast places nearby and not only is the food quality superior here, but the staff are so much more friendly! Penny and Trista are both great! They are closed on Mondays and close at 2 pm everyday, but I love that they serve breakfast anytime they're open!

Al's was recommended to us and we were glad we went. The food was delicious and the portions on the larger side. There are quite a number of options on the menu, especially considering the size of the diner. It's easy to see why the locals eat here, so if you're passing through Ferndale you won't regret stopping here.
